The Long Boring Company History
It all started on one dark and stormy night…Pardon me, off topic. Actually, it started with a little site called Fitblogger. It’s a site for fitness bloggers and you know what we realized in running that site? Our members needed help, like oodles and oodles of help. Help with how to self host their blogs, if they should buy their domain, how to edit their website files, wordpress blog design, you name it, we were getting more blogging questions flowing through our inbox than fitness questions!
And not just technical blogging questions either, we were getting the “how to make money questions”, “how to work with the media“, just about everything and anything blogging related was coming in. So we started to write blogging tutorials too, why not!?
That’s where Blog Genie started: a little page on the back of a fitness blog to help the lost and alone find their way of out bad blog design purgatory.
Everywhere we looked there were custom blog packages for upwards of $800 to $1200. That’s not a place many people can jump into on an entry level when they are just starting to get serious with their blog.
We knew we could make a far better product for much less and help bloggers present a polished and professional image to the world with the online marketing know hot to get them there.
The Short Awesome Present
Since December 2010, we’ve branched out to small business website design and social media consulting while bringing our Blog Genie customers some of the most affordable blog design, wordpress hosting and the most awesome customer service around.
And the best part, to date, nearly 90% of our business is referrals from past customers. That’s customer service in action and we adore our clients!
